A new version of VATRadar (v1.1.5) has just been released on TestFlight. This new version of VATRadar adds airport-specific runway and frequency information for all airports. Now, when you select an airport on the Controllers tab, this UI will present a new bar at the top letting you switch between active controllers, runways and Frequencies of that particular airport. Selecting either the Runways or Frequencies tab will then update the UI to show either a list of runways, or a list of all published frequencies for that airport accordingly. The Runways tab provides you with information such as runway dimensions, heading, altitude and surface type, and should also indicate when a runway has been marked as being closed. Please also note that the runway surface type shows up in an abbreviated format, which unfortunately can vary across airports - for instance, a concrete runway surface might show as either CON, CONC or CCT among others. These inconsistencies are present in the underlying datasets used to retrieve this information, so unfortunately this isn’t something which I could fix on my own. Furthermore, when using the search field to look up an airport on the Controllers tab, there’s now a new set of options right below the search field letting you switch between searching only airports which are currently controlled on VATSIM, or all available airports in the database. This way, you can pull up runway and frequency information for any airport, not just those that are currently being staffed on VATSIM.

As always any feedback is very welcome, happy Friday and happy testing! :-)
